Abigail Strock has been teaching music lessons to kids and adults since 2006. Born and raised in Fort Bragg, CA, Abigail knew from a young age that she wanted music to be an important part of her life. She began piano lessons at age 7, and sang in school choirs through middle and high school. After graduating from Fort Bragg High School, Abigail attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. She soon discovered her passion for teaching music, and in 2015 earned a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from Holy Names University in Oakland, CA.
Abigail specializes in science-based whole-body singing technique, as well as piano, voice, and general music lessons for young beginners. Her students have consistently been recognized for their excellent performances in local and regional music festivals, exams, and competitions.
Mrs. Strock also performs frequently as a soloist in classical and contemporary music styles. She was the featured soloist with Symphony of the Redwoods in June 2022, and sang with the Mendocino Music Festival Chorale from 2021-2023. She has previously performed with Gloriana Musical Theater, The Raven Players, and Mendocino Chamber Opera.
When she is not teaching or performing, Abigail enjoys baking and spending time outdoors with her husband and son. She also volunteers with Symphony of the Redwoods and serves on the Board of Directors as Vice President.
The Abigail Strock Music Studio opened its location in Willits in 2022, offering individual lessons as well as group classes. Abigail also teaches online voice and piano lessons.
